The funeral of Jan Wedgbury will be held on Wednesday 27th March at 12.30 pm at Cannock Chase Crematorium followed by a wake at Lea hall Club in Rugeley.

For those of you who can not find the King Charles111 Cup rules - here they are again:-

KING CHARLES 111 CUP

 

RULES

  1. Entry open to all Lichfield over 50s Clubs

  2. All teams entered to receive a handicap based on previous season league final position. (league champions zero shots, 2nd place 1 shot and so on. (New teams joining, an average handicap)

  3. Matches to be played on a 4 home 4 away basis on dates agreed by the committee.

  4. Cards to be numbered prior to the match draw

  5. Winners of a round shall be the team who record the best aggregate. In the event of a drawn result, the following procedure takes place to determine a winner. (a) The highest number of wins. If no result. (b) The score from both cards in match one, if still no result, then card two and so on.

  6. Players must have played in minimum 6 league matches to compete in the final

  7. The final to be played on a neutral green

  8. All other playing rules as stipulated in the league rules. 

 Note:- The preliminary round to be played before 25th April also Museum have a bye into the second round.

There are two teams with no players registered. They must be registered before they play. No unlistered players.

 

There are three teams without either a Captains name and/or a phone number. If a team has to postpone and cannot get in touch with the opposing captain, who has the penalty?

It is with profound sadness that we record the passing of Jan Wedgbury from Rugeley Progressive.

Our thoughts go to Terry and Family in their sad loss.

Please ensure that your contact details are up to date, some are still missing.

Please also ensure that all your players are registered before they play. This is especially important if your Club has more then one team in the league.

There is a problem with the fixtures, ignore them but watch this page.

Donations to St Giles and The Salvation Army in lieu of floral tributes accepted.

Afterwards at the Hednesford ExService Men's Club.

'Notice to all Clubs'
The Lichfield 50+ Bowls League A.G.M 2024 will be held at Mansfield House, Rugeley Progressive W.M.C. Market Street, Rugeley, on Thursday 8th February 2024, 1.30 pm for a 2 pm start.
All clubs should be represented.
Any proposals or items for the agenda should be notified in writing to Gill Duffell, the league secretary by no later than 8th January 2024.
