The South Derbyshire Merit Final was played at Horsley on Thursday night and, after a cracking final between the two Dans, the winner was Dan Petcher.
With 8 finalists, and only 7 going forward to the Derbyshire Merit, the losers played off against each other. So the 7 going forward are:

Parking at Mayfield Bowls Club
From 19 May the parking will be limited on Monday nights due to local football teams games. Teams are advised to arrive early to ensure a parking space
Access to Aston and Weston BC
Roadworks in Aston on Trent could have an impact on access to the green for most of the season. The road from Weston on Trent has reopened but there remain some roadworks within Aston on Trent which are controlled by a four-way traffic light system.

Mon 7th AprBelper Meadows parking regulations
These will come into effect on 1 May 2025. Charges will not apply to visitors' vehicles that are recorded on the tablet provided for this purpose. For more information please see the notes on the Belper Meadows club contact details.
Sat 29th MarRolleston floodlights
There are issues with the floodlights at Rolleston and it is not known when they will be resolved. Matches held at Rolleston on Monday and Friday evenings until the end of May and from 18 July will start at 6.30 pm unless the problem is resolved beforehand.

The Individual Merit qualifier is on 1 May with the final scheduled for 15 May.
The Charity Cup will be played on 5 May.
The Darren Smith Trophy will be played on 26 May.
The Ray Hanson Doubles is set for 17 August.
The Champion of Champions is set for 28 September.

Please note, major roadworks are taking place at the nearby traffic lights on the ring road and as a result of portacabins, etc, parking at Rykneld will be severely restricted until about the end of June 2025. Car sharing is advised wherever possible.
