Congratulations Pudsey (Bradford) winning the Victory Cup, commiserations Meersbrook (Sheffield). The final was played at Salts and thanks to Peter Hepworth and Airedale/Wharfedale for hosting the event.

Congratulations to Tony Green & Phil Hill for winning the YCP Veterans Pairs beating Kevin Rankin & Stewart Watson in the final at Asa Briggs.

Congratulations to Paul Gill winning the Yorkshire County Parks Veterans Merit, beating Mick Bastow 21-11 in the final. Commiserations to Mick but a great field of players and the majority of the games could have gone either way but that is bowls for you, well done Gilly - King for the day!

Congratulations to Alex Edmondson for winning the Ladies Merit at Thorner BC. The original date was cancelled due to a lack of entries, however Howard Broadbent kindly offered to run the event and managed to obtain enough entries. Alex beat Robin Walters in the final.

Congratulations to Crossgates winning the Brotherton Cup, commiserations Pudsey 'B', the final was played at Luddendenfoot. Thanks to Hebden Royd District for hosting and Fred Rothwell for organising the greens.

Congratulations to Sheffield for winning the Yorkshire County Parks Intercity Tournament. Commiserations to Barkston Ash who deserve credit for reaching the final and for giving us a final that went to the wire!
Thanks to Howard Broadbent for organising the greens and Barkston Ash district for hosting the event. The weather definitely had an impact on the greens but that is something we can't plan and it was same for both teams with the condition of some park greens.
Nevertheless, thanks goes to all venues for their hospitality, warm welcome and keeping everyone fed & watered.
Thanks goes to Sheffield and now Barnsley for supporting our events and giving them that competitive edge and hopefully we will return the favour and hold the event in Sheffield or Barnsley in the near future.
Obviously, it is disappointing that all districts weren't represented due to a number of factors. Spring Bank weekend is now one of the busiest weekends and maybe it is something we have to consider to allow our events to continue being successful.
