CHARITY CUP RULES

1   The Competition shall be entitled the Ladies' Charity Cup Competition and shall be run on a handicap basis. The Officers of the Association together with the Fixtures and Competitions Committee shall run it, and the decision of the said Committee shall be final on any disputes, which may arise. It shall be governed by the Laws of the Association and played to BCGBA. Rules.

2   The Charity to benefit from the Competition shall be decided annually at a Management Meeting. All teams in the League shall be entered and entrance fees paid by March Management Meeting and handicaps to be decided annually at a Management Meeting, when format of teams is known.

3   A player shall play for one team only during the season and shall not play at a lower level.

     Should a player wish to join a Club during the season she can only play in the competition provided she has played for no other Club and such a player must gain approval of the said Committee.                                                                    

4   The dates for the Charity Cup matches be known at the beginning of the season and printed in the fixture book. All games to be played on the date given and no re-arranging to be allowed. (Except in adverse weather conditions).

5   The Committee shall nominate neutral greens on which these matches will be played, stating dates and times.

6   The Clubs on whose greens the games are played shall provide jacks, footers and a 19-metre measure.

7a  No practice shall be allowed.

7b  The games shall be played in singles of 21 up, eight players in a team (plus unlimited reserves)

7c  All eight cards to be drawn in order of play at commencement of the match.

7d  The captains shall toss for the jack at the commencement of the match and choose odds or evens.

7e  Scoring shall be by aggregate with the handicap added to the final score. Handicap will be determined by the team’s prior season’s league position. These will be published in the fixture book each year.

7f Score to be on aggregate including handicaps, and in the event of a tie the following will apply in order

     i, the number of games won shall determine the winning team, then

      ii, the captains select a player to 5 ends, if this is still a draw then a one end shootout will apply, if this end is deemed a dead end this will continue until a scoring end applies.

8   The captain of the winning team shall put results on the website after the game and within 48 hours after the match is completed.

9   Any matters arising not covered by the above rules shall go to the said committee and any decision made shall be final.

10  On Semi Finals and Finals Day, dress code of the association (in accordance with Association Rule) will be strictly adhered to and any offending players will not be permitted to play. If there is a tie-on aggregate then rule 7f applies. The competition will be played as a knockout regardless of how many teams are present on the day. (Handicaps to apply throughout).
