Individual Merit held at Silkmore Monday 23^rd June

An excellent day of bowling with some very evenly-balanced high-quality matches, despite what the results say. Also very accurate mark-setting , with two long tape measurements being 19.03m and 19.01m.

Thanks to Carol Westwood for organising, Silkmore for hosting and providing the refreshments.

Finally congratulations to the eventual winner Paul Johnson and the runner up Pam Ewan.

This guide will take a player through the cycle of a typical game, following a recognized pattern, and finally

accept defeat gracefully and always offer congratulations to the winner at the end of the game.

Drawn Triples Competition held at Fieldhouse Bowling Club Monday 2nd June

Thanks goes out to Helen Hood who stood in and ran a well organised competition, to Fieldhouse for hosting, everybody that entered and assisted with the marking and measuring.

A special thanks to the ladies who provided refreshments throughout the day.

It is with great sadness to report that Keith Brown who played for Phoenix Riverway and Phoenix A

passed away this morning, he will be greatly missed by Family,Friends and all at Phoenix.

Keith' s funeral will be on Monday 2nd June, Stafford Crematorium at 10.00 am and afterwards at Brocton Hall Golf Club. At Keith's request, please wear colourful clothing to honour his vibrant spirit. No flowers. Donations to Katherine House

Funeral on 30th May at Stafford Crem at 1.00pm

Joan, a long time member of Alstom/Fieldhouse D team passed away a few days ago

Our thoughts go out to both families and Friends of Iris & Joan and everybody at Fieldhouse Bowling Club.

Funeral on 22nd May 10.15am at St Patrick's church.

Borough Shield 2025

First competition of the season held today at the Riverway Bowling Greens.

Huge thanks goes to Carol Westwood (Competition’s Secretary) who oraganised and ran the competition.

Well done to all that took part and helped with the scoring and measuring.

Clive Key sadly passed away last Friday. He was a valued member of the Stafford u3a bowling team. Our condolences to his family.

It is with great sadness to report that Dave Carter passed away last Friday.

Dave was a long time bowler of Littleworth and Phoenix B and indeed played on the Wednesday and Thursday prior to his passing. Our condolences go out to Family and friends.
