NATIONAL BOWLS LEAGUE

                                                        NEW  VETS BOWLS COMP

                                             "THE BIG DADDY TROPHY"

                      THIS BRAND NEW EVENT TAKING PLACE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SOUTHPORT.

                         WE HAVE DECIDED TO RUN IT OVER THREE DAYS FROM AUGUST 24th

                             WITH THE FINAL 8 ON FRIDAY 27TH AUGUST FOR ALL BOWLERS

                              OVER 55YRS OLD IN MEMORY OF DAVE "BIG DADDY" BARTON.

This is a brand new National Bowls League which will be commencing in July 2021.

It is for all Bowlers (Ladies & Men) to take part in who play in Vets Leagues around the country.

The formulae in our first year will be to have Bowls Leagues from 8 areas of the North of England & Wales to enter a team to represent their League and to play other League Teams in their area to reach an area Champion.

These area Champions will then move forward to a Quarter Final stage and then Semi and Final until we reach a National Champion.

Each Area will contain 5 League Teams who will compete against each other on Home/Away basis on the First or Second Sunday in Each Month.

The Teams will consist of 8 players (Ladies and Men) and the travel will be within a 50 mile radius within their area.

The League will start on the SECOND Sunday in July 2021.

There will be many other positive new feature that this League will be using and will become known to all soon.

         ALL MONIES TAKEN TO ENTER THIS LEAGUE WILL ALL BE PAID OUT IN PRIZE MONEY

               APART FROM THE INSURANCE CHARGES IN SETTING THIS LEAGUE UP.

If your League is wishing to enter a vets Team into this, then URGENCY is needed as places will go fast.

It will be £100 per team to enter and NO other hidden fees after this.

Transparency of Monies is paramount and there will be an official treasurer for this.
